Do you take care of yourself during the holidays, or do you stress buying gifts, decorating the house, baking ten different types of cookies, planning and sending your holiday cards, attending and preparing for the multiple functions at your kids school?   There are Christmas fairs, concerts, teacher conferences, breakfasts with Santa, office parties, the elf on the shelf and more.

It can be hard to stick with your routines of movement, sleep, and self-care during this busy time.

It is even more important to take care of yourself during this busy time so that you can stay healthy and be present.    Don’t forget to continue to prioritize your health and take time for yourself this holiday season! Here are my top tips to not only survive but THRIVE during the Holidays:

  • 😴Get 7-8 hours of sleep a night
  • 🍠Get 30+ grams of fiber daily
  • 💧Hydrate hydrate hydrate!
  • 💊Continue supplement protocols if you have one
  • 🎄Enjoy your holiday season

We all get overwhelmed with making things “perfect” but we all know there is no perfect, especially if it is at the expense of your health!  Do not forget to do the things you truly love to do, and not do them because you feel you have to or should!  What traditions do you want to pass on to your kids, what do you enjoy doing, and what can you let go of,  as they do not serve you any longer?

What are you excited to do this holiday season?

I can’t wait to bake cookies with my daughter and decorate the tree!  As I always say that if you are not feeling well you cannot be there for others or yourself.  So take care of you so that you can be there for others, connect to family and friends, truly be present,  and reflect on the beauty of the season!
